The Prime Minister of the Republic of Madagascar visited the SEZ
Following the signed cooperation agreement between the Saint Petersburg SEZ and the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Madagascar, Prime Minister Rajaonarison Mamitian visited the SEZ site today.
Yesterday, the document was signed by SEZ Director General Tamara Rondaleva and Minister of Industry Raharimanjato Nyu Riana Nampoina in the presence of the Prime Minister. The agreement envisages efforts to attract investment and develop a project to establish a SEZ in the Republic of Madagascar, which opens up enormous prospects for international economic cooperation.
Today, the Madagascar delegation received a detailed tour of the project "on the ground," seeing firsthand all the infrastructure facilities and operating enterprises of our residents. Viktor Volkov, Head of the SEZ Management Company Project Office, presented the opportunities and conditions of work. The guests were particularly interested in acquiring ownership rights to land plots within the SEZ. This is an undeniable advantage not found in other industrial sites. Moreover, this right can be exercised at a preferential price, purchasing a plot for a quarter of the land's cadastral value.
The guests also toured the resident companies' enterprises and learned about their industry focus, including a separate visit to the production facility of the pharmaceutical company VERTEX, one of the flagships of our SEZ.
We are pleased to welcome distinguished guests, thereby strengthening business ties and international cooperation. We look forward to a fruitful working relationship and the successful implementation of our plans!
